WINTER at HORSESHOE LAKE STATE PARK

This eagle stayed for quite a while just so I could get a good shot!

After our ice storm, everything looks so beautiful in the sun.

There were many blue heron tucked in tight, on the ice edges.

Coming in for a landing.

The second eagle showed up and they "talked" to each other for a while. Their vocalizations were surprisingly quiet and pleasant to listen to.

Fantastic. Especially the two where they look like they're bickering back and forth. These give Horseshoe Lake potential!

I can't believe these are from Horseshoe Lake. It seems as if they're from a big national park. You get better all the time. My favorites are the ones with the eagle in flight. I know these birds are one of your favorites! Amazing pics!
